Professional Standards & Community Guidelines

1. Professionalism & Respect

All members must communicate professionally and treat others with respect.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, personal attacks and abusive behaviour are strictly prohibited.

Disagreements are welcome. Disrespectful conduct is not.

2. Promotional Posting Limits

Each participant profile may publish a maximum of two promotional posts per calendar month.

Members holding both Individual and Business Membership may publish a total of four promotional posts per month, limited to two from each registered profile.

Promotional content must be relevant, accurate and professionally presented.

If a profile exceeds its monthly promotional allowance, all promotional posts from the offending profile for that month will be removed.

3. Genuine Business Identity

Members must provide accurate information about their identity, business activities and professional background.

Business profiles must have an identifiable responsible representative.

Fake profiles, impersonation and deliberately misleading business information are prohibited.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

Information shared privately between members must remain confidential unless the parties agree otherwise.

Members must not publish another person's contact details, private correspondence, business documents or confidential information without authorization.

5. No Promotion of Other Networking Groups

Advertising, recruiting for or promoting competing networking groups, Facebook groups or membership communities is prohibited without prior written authorization.

Unauthorized promotion of other groups may result in immediate removal.

6. Honest Business Practices

Members must act honestly and transparently in their business dealings.

Fraudulent offers, misleading claims, deceptive marketing and unlawful business activities are prohibited.

Membership does not constitute an endorsement, certification or guarantee by Beyond White Jacket of any member's products, services or business practices.

7. No Unsolicited Sales Pitches

Networking should be based on genuine professional relationships.

Repeated unsolicited direct messages, aggressive selling, spam and pressure-based marketing are prohibited.

Respect other members' boundaries and communication preferences.

8. Moderation & Enforcement

Network administrators may moderate discussions and remove content that violates these rules.

Repeated violations will result in one formal warning.

Any further violation following that warning may result in permanent removal from the network.

Serious misconduct may justify immediate action where necessary to protect members or the community.

Membership fees will not be refunded following termination for a member's own rule violations, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Permanently removed members will not be eligible for membership renewal.

9. Community Access & Professional Membership

Everyone may join the free Facebook community, subject to these Community Rules. No paid membership is required to introduce yourself or your business, publish posts, participate in discussions or independently develop professional connections with other participants.

The limit of two promotional posts per profile per calendar month applies to free and paid participants. Combined Individual + Business Membership allows up to four promotional posts across the two registered profiles, with no more than two from each profile. Ordinary discussions and participation do not require payment.

Paid Professional Membership is optional and requires individual assessment and approval. Organised online coffee and networking meetings, BWJ-facilitated introductions, professional member profile representation, structured business networking and collaboration opportunities, and other designated member-only activities are reserved for approved paying members. Free Facebook participation does not include these services or benefits.

Professional eligibility criteria and excluded service categories apply only to paid Professional Membership, as set out in the Membership Terms & Conditions; they do not restrict ordinary access to the free Facebook community.

Applications are free. Applicants must answer the required questions accurately and completely. BWJ assesses each application individually and approves or declines it. Only approved applicants receive an invoice and payment instructions. Membership is activated only after payment is confirmed. No payment is required to apply, payment does not guarantee acceptance, and rejected applicants are not charged.

Membership does not guarantee referrals, clients, contracts, revenue or financial returns.

10. Member Responsibility

Members are individually responsible for their professional activities, business agreements and legal compliance.

The network facilitates professional connections but does not act as a party to transactions between members unless expressly agreed in writing.

11. Our Community Principle

We value meaningful relationships, professional integrity, mutual respect and genuine collaboration.

Our priority is the quality of our network, not the number of members.
